The challenge of Sharynx is to regularly make improvements in terms of Insurance Coverage (e.g. Personal injury, Material and Immaterial damage).

Sharynx offers, for now, its clients the best Support Vehicles and an adequate Insurance Coverage available on the market of rental between individuals in Belgium.

AGA (Allianz Global Assistance), our partner insurer, offers several guarantees such as Franchise Redemption (up to 3,000 EUR per folder), Cancellation Insurance (up to 10,000 EUR per insured person) or an Assistance Vehicle (Europe without kilometer deductible). All owners’ vehicles available on our platform have got a compulsory car’s insurance and a technical control valid.

In addition to the owner’s insurance, our insurance (insurance of Sharynx) offers several guarantees such as the franchise redemption up to 3,000 EUR and many more.

In case of damage to your vehicle, our insurance is triggered automatically and offers guarantees within the terms, conditions and amounts specified in the terms of contract.

NB: The customer (tenant) responsible of the damages will pay the repair costs of damages.

1.  Insurance Conditions

To insert your advert at SHARYNX, it is essential to be:

  • An individual ;
  • Holder of a vehicle registration ;
  • In possession of an annual insurance policy of the vehicle ;
  • In possession of a vehicle to-date of technical control.

Know that our platform only allows vehicles with a total weight up to 3.5 tons of category B or B/E. Read the classification of authorized vehicles.

2.  Practical Questions

What happens in case of accident, theft or vandalism?

The renter of the vehicle must:

  1. As soon as possible, and within 7 days, report in writing to Allianz Global Assistance the occurrence of the loss.
  2. Without delay and in any case within 30 days provide Allianz Global Assistance all relevant information and respond to requests made to you to determine the circumstances and determine the extent of the loss.
  3. Take all reasonable measures to prevent and mitigate the consequences of the disaster.
  4. In case of theft, vandalism or accident with hit and run, the tenant must immediately draw up a verbal report by the nearest judicial authorities of the place where the facts occurred or the place where they found by him.
  5. In an accident with the adverse party, the tenant has to complete an international accident report and have it signed by all the parties.
  6. When receiving and when returning the rental vehicle, the establishment of a description of the vehicle’s condition must be done by the renter.
  7. In case of damages seen during the return of the vehicle, a detailed statement must be given to the renter.
  8. Forward to Allianz Global Assistance the original documents concerning the circumstances, the consequences, and the extent of your damage: vehicle’s condition, the verbal process or the international accident report, a detailed statement of the renter and the lease, and parts that demonstrate that there was coverage auto insurance and the calculation of the franchise.

Caution: Who breaks pays. In case of damages to the vehicle, we credit the bankcard of the tenant within the lit of the franchise allowed in our Terms & Conditions of car rental insurance between individuals.

If the vehicle is less than 10 years (max. 10 years vehicle), the 24hr assistance of our insurance guarantees:

  • Support vehicle (odometer Europe without deductible) :
    • Legal assistance in case of traffic accident: attorney fees to a maximum of 1,250 EUR and advance the bail in the amount of 12,500 EUR;
    • Caravan and trailer provided free of charge;
    • Transport of persons;
    • Breakdown and towing;
    • Sending spare parts;
    • Caretaking costs up to 65 EUR;
    • Additional hotel nights in case of theft or repair the vehicle on site (abroad);
    • Repatriation of the vehicle, passengers, luggage and pets;
    • Recovering your abandoned vehicle;
    • Replacement vehicle included;

If the vehicle is more than 10 years, the owner must pay for the reparation of the vehicle to the garage of his or her choice then you do not get the guarantees mentioned above.

SHARYNX actively negotiates with the insurance partners in order to offer a complete coverage (Personal injury, Material and Immaterial damage).

Our insurance offers you the following guarantees:

  • Insurance Deductibles, up to 3,000 EUR per folder;
  • Cancellation Insurance, up to 10,000 EUR per insured person:
    • Complication during pregnancy;
    • Death of a minor parent or relative to the 3rd degree;
    • Divorce or separation;
    • Important material damages to your home;
    • Pregnancy, provided that the travel is planned in the last 3 months of the pregnancy and the contract was underwritten before the beginning of the pregnancy;

Our insurance also guarantees you the best Assistance Vehicle available on the vehicle rental market between individuals in Belgium and Europe.

1.  Insurance Conditions

The customer (tenant) will have to register on our website under his true identity.

  • Only one User Account per person allowed.
  • The identity of the person getting the keys of the vehicle must correspond to that stated on the site, as well as paying the rent and signing the lease.
  • The future customer (tenant) will make an initial inventory in he presence of the owner (renter).
  • The tenant must be at least 21 years old.
  • The tenant must have a EU driving license valid for over 2 years.
  • The tenant agrees to circulate in Belgium and in the neighboring countries, and not to make of the vehicle a professional use.
  • The payment card (credit card) and the driving license must be only in the name of the tenant, as written in the rental agreement.
  • The tenant must make sure to read the Terms and Conditions of our insurance platform.

2.  Assistance Vehicle (Europe without deductible kilometer)

Our insurance guarantees:

  • Caravan and trailer provided free of charge;
  • Transport of persons;
  • Breakdown and towing;
  • Shipment of spare parts;
  • Caretaking costs up to 65 euros;
  • Additional hotel nights in case of theft or repair the vehicle on site (abroad);
  • Repatriation of the vehicle, passengers, luggage and pets;

3.  Customer obligations (tenant)

Any loss must be reported as soon as to Allianz Global Assistance who will manage:
